Mahou San Miguel is a 100% Spanish family-owned company, leader in the beer sector in our country and with a production share of more than 32%.
It has 11 brewing centers (eight in Spain, one in India and two in the USA) and four water springs with their bottling plants. It produces more than 70% of the Spanish beer consumed in the world and is present in more than 70 countries.

Challenge
MSM has implemented JDA as a system to make Demand Forecasts for its products, which in general, for Traditional Beers, offers acceptable results, but not so for the so-called Innovation Beers.
Likewise, the Commercial Department, based on the Forecasts made by JDA, adjusts them to obtain other Forecasts, called the Commercial Forecasts. In the case of Innovation Beers, the results of these Commercial Forecasts are not satisfactory either.
The peculiarity of Innovation Beers is that they usually have very little Sales History (less than three years), or even nonexistent in the case of New Beers that have not yet been launched on the market.
Solution
PredictLand has developed a Demand Forecasting Solution for Innovation Beers, both for those with short Sales History and those with no sales yet, using Artificial Intelligence Techniques, to try to exploit as much as possible both internal company data and external data that will impact the demand for these Beers.
The Artificial Intelligence solution designed automates the process and improves the accuracy of the sales forecast, with considerable time savings for the sales team and planners.
To have the process fully automated and that MSM only needs to review exceptional cases.
On the other hand, for new Innovation Beers, MSM is able to anticipate what will be the behavior of their Sales, being able to use this information to make decisions regarding the launching of these Products to the market, as well as the Marketing investment to be made in each of them, etc.
